Xiaomi leads the chart with smart TV shipments from India up 74%

Xiaomi dominated India’s smart TV market in Q2 2022 with a 13% share, followed by Samsung with a 12% share. But the most impressive performer of the quarter was OnePlus, which took third place for the first time with an 8% share. The brand grew 187% year over year with the popularity of its Y1 series.

Overall, India’s smart TV market grew 74% YoY in Q2 2022, according to the latest research by Counterpoint IoT Service (opens in new tab). The launch of smaller smart TVs in the range below R$ 20,000 is among the reasons for the good show in the market. The top five brands contributed 45% of the smart TV market.
