If you’re hungry for more God of War Ragnarok news, then the latest State of Play presentation has likely satiated your appetite.
Since the sequel teaser at the end of 2018’s God of War, we’ve been looking forward to playing God of War Ragnarok. It’s easily one of our most anticipated games for the PS5. With just a few months to go until its November 9 release, Sony has released a new story trailer.
While the action-packed trailer showed the growing tension between Kratos and his son Atreus, we also got a better glimpse of Fenrir, who appears to be a companion of the divine pair. A trailer released in July suggested they would be battling the mega wolf, but this new trailer teases a different relationship.
When we first saw the CG trailer, our editor Jules thought developer Sony Santa Monica could be playing with the Norse myths that Ragnarok is based on. In these stories, Fenrir is the son of Loki and was supposed to be friends with Atreus, but the video suggested that the wolf would be an enemy. This new trailer aligns much more with the legends.
Play with absolute power
Alongside the new God of War Ragnarok story trailer, a limited-edition DualSense wireless controller was revealed. Emblazoned with the face of two wolves, the controller sports a beautiful blue hue on either side.
The limited edition God of War Ragnarok, DualSense, will launch alongside the game on November 9. as with such a striking aesthetic.
