Amazfit has brought its new flagship smartwatch, the Amazfit GTR 4, to India. The new model comes with a circular design and features an always-on 1.43″ AMOLED color touchscreen with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels protected by tempered glass. It is covered with an anti-fingerprint coating and surrounded by a Anti-glare bezel Updated Zepp OS 2.0 for an optimized user experience.
The company said the Amazfit GTR 4 is built with dual-band circularly polarized GPS antenna technology and also supports five satellite positioning systems (with a 6th being added in an upcoming firmware update) and can be used to track users on Real time GPS Motion. In the future, users will also be able to import route files and navigate through them in real-time, right on the screen.

With a design inspired by modern sports cars, the Amazfit GTR 4 has a 1.43″ HD AMOLED screen and offers more than 200 selections of dials with corresponding always-on screens. The Chinese brand’s new smartwatch is aimed at a lot of fitness and sports. The Amazfit GTR 4 comes with 150+ sport modes, including multiple walking, running, cycling and swimming modes.
The Amazfit GTR 4 can automatically recognize 15 strength training exercises (increasing to 25 exercises after a next update), along with eight sports moves. Custom interval training templates for 10 different sports can be created right on the watch screen, and the PeakBeats Workout Status algorithm will provide performance data like VO2 Max after any workout is completed.
The Amazfit GTR 4 is also featuring the BioTracker 4.0PPG biometric optical sensor developed by the brand. The Amazfit GTR 4 will also transmit real-time sports mode data such as heart rate, workout duration and distance, and even hydration reminders through the user’s speaker or bluetooth headphones.
Moving on to battery life, the Amazfit GTR 4 can last for 14 days with typical use, and the smartwatch comes with the updated ‘Battery Saver Mode’ that allows for continuous use of features like sports modes, health metrics measurement, basic monitoring. sleep and more, while conserving energy for long-term use.
Amazon Alexa is featured on the smartwatch as a quick access widget on one of the downloadable watch faces. The smartwatch also has an offline voice assistant, which can be used for tasks like opening a sports mode via voice control. Users can even receive and answer phone calls via bluetooth using the built-in microphone and speaker. Thanks to the built-in speaker, the smartwatch can store music for independent playback, as well as being used to control music on the user’s cell phone via bluetooth.
Amazfit’s Zepp OS operating system has been updated. In addition, the downloadable mini apps have also added ‘Baby Records’, which allows users to record baby’s sleep and feeding times, as well as two new downloadable games, along with the third-party GoPro and Home Connect apps.

The smartwatch comes in two striking colors including Superspeed Black and Racetrack Grey.
Amazfit GTR 4 will be available on Flipkart and on the official Amazfit website. (The introductory sale page on both sites has not been live at the time of writing). The company will provide a limited amount of wristbands as a gift with the purchase of the GTR 4. In addition, Flipkart has announced a quiz event where participants will have to answer simple questions and the 20 winners will have a chance to win the Amazfit GTR 4.
The Amazfit GTR 4 is available for Rs 15,299 which includes bank offers and the sale starts on September 15 at 12pm. After the sell offer, the smartwatch will retail for Rs 16,999.
